Kinanthi

Özet

Kinanti mourns the death of both parents. He lives with his grandmother now. Kinanti doesn't want to go to school because there is no one to be proud of, even though her grandmother opposes this idea. His grandmother sang a macapat song called Kinanthi. This is what made him curious about the song. His grandmother told him that the meaning of the kinanthi song was guidance.
