Özet
İşsiz futbol koçu Tom, intiharın eşiğindeki ikiz kızkardeşine yardım etmesi için Dr. Susan Lowenstein'in çağrısıyla New York'a gelir. Dr. Lowstein ailenin geçmişini aydınlatmaya çalışırken kendisi de evde oğlu ve snop kocasıyla uğraşmaktadır. Zamanla mutsuz evlilikler sürdüren doktorla Tom arasında duygusal bir yakınlık doğar.
